Rudiger-X, Service Boot - Chromexcel Natural | Service Boots

I love the look of these boots and they're very comfortable. The outsole and midsole were particularly well-crafted and the stitching was beautiful. I did have a few issues, however:

-Loose grain on the sides (I like the character, but some may not appreciate it)
-Bright brass eyelets and speed hooks whereas the picture had antique brass hardware. (Some may not mind this, but for me it was worth switching them out, which I did myself.)
-Small tear in the tongue gusset (For me this is minor and invisible to others, but speaks to QC)
-The leather dye on the inside bled into my socks when my feet perspired. (This was the big one for me. We're not talking excessive moisture, just a day's wear with regular perspiration. It's gradually reduced since the first wear, but I now make sure to wear dark socks as it does still bleed.)

This company offers a great price for some overall very nice handcrafted boots. I may not purchase again until I see more outside reviews indicating they've fixed their QC issues.

I love these boots, they are made extremely well hand lasted and some with Dr Sole outsoles, chromexel leather and stich down uppers. I recommend them for anyone both office wear and all trades

Wonderful value proposition with BLKBRD. Received two pairs of beautiful shoes from them and they were extremely responsive and accommodating to my requests and queries.

These were really well built and you can tell they have the little unique touches of something that’s hand made.

These boots are comparable to $1,000 US boots in quality, looks, and comfort. It took about a week to break them in but now they are extremely comfortable. I love the Dr. Soles! The only criticism I would make, and it's a very small one, is that I replaced the insoles provided with a pair of all-leather ones. The provided insoles had a leather top with some synthetic padding underneath. They did provide a bit of cushion that my all-leather ones do not, but I prefer to stick with all-leather, which is just my personal preference. I can't wait to order my next pair from BLKBRD!
