Kudu is an antelope from southern Africa, whose skins are unique in combining luxuriously softness with inherent durability. The finished leather has a luxuriously soft suede on the reverse side and a nubuck on the grain side. Despite the strikingly soft touch on the suede side, the leather also maintains a high degree of strength. On the grain side, there are natural superficial cuts and scratches which have been highlighted by processing as nubuck.

Known as the “cashmere of suedes”, the Kudu Suede has a luxuriously soft, buttery touch. Offers a unique appearance and unparalleled comfort.

Jr Cap Toe in Kudu Reverse Suede.

Looking for a versatile shoe to wear with jeans/slacks in non traditional color. Chose kudu reverse suede in Loden. The shoe looks terrific and is extremely comfortable. I added a rubber sole for casual events and not perfect weather. The only thing I would caution is verify what the finished color will look like. I thought Loden would have a blue gray look and my shoes are brown with a greenish cast. I think that these will still be extremely versatile and I’m still happy with the end product. This is my second pair of blkbrd shoes and I love them both.
