I have worn these shoes once so I cannot speak to break-in or wear. The top leather is so soft. It can easily scratch or crease. While that may be a negative to some, for me it is a positive. I’ll need to shine and polish them to protect them. The soles are super slick. I duck walked all day to prevent myself from sliding across the tile and carpet at work. The soles did wear well for one day. I see them lasting a good long time. The craftsmanship is very good. The details are stunning. My only issue is the lack of half sizing. I chose a half size up from my normal size (having experience with other East Asia shoe makers that run small). They are a 1/2 size too large. I was able to find an insert to get them to work. The best part is the price. These are a steal. I will look for other shoes from this maker. Doubly so if they have 1/2 sizes available.
