The shoes are a great value for the price; however, there are three areas where I believe there could be improvements:

1. One of the eyelets is damaged. Given the price, I expected better quality control.
2. I had specifically requested that foam insoles not be inserted, but the shoes arrived with glued-in foam insoles.
3. Including care instructions for maintaining the shoes would be a thoughtful and helpful addition.

Overall I like the boots; however, my ankles are small so at the top part of boot I have really snich them down.

These things are perfect - I can wear them to the office with a dress shirt and some dark wash jeans. or on the weekend with jeans and a t shirt - leather is very nice and fit is remarkably comfortable

Disappointed! I requested spare boot laces they promised me I’ll get one but never received!

For about 215 TYD these are now the boots to beat in my closet. I have some pairs of Thursday boots that’s rival these in price, and quality, but I think these are my favorites. These boots have been durable enough to survive a Michigan January. The leather on my boots has got to be at least 2mm thick without a lining. To me, the leather on these boots is as thick (maybe thicker), but not quite as rigid in temper as my iron rangers. My only complaint is that the finishing techniques may need some improvement. When they arrived they reeked of some sort of leather paint, and just a few days of trudging throw a few inches of snow has already worn off whatever coloring they put on the welt/midsole. Oh and you may want to go up half a size from your brannock if you have a US foot. My brannock is a 9.5 and I’m usually a 9.5D or a 9E in boots. I was recommended to buy a size 10 by BLKBRD support and the 10’s fit like a dream. The boots themselves are a 4 as there are a few finishing issues that I wasn’t thrilled with, but those aren’t enough to keep me from loving the quality. That extra star is for customer service, they answered my questions within a day and steered me in the right direction. Looking forward to my next purchase from BLKBRD!!!
