Harley, Chelsea Boot - Chromexcel Natural | Hand Welted Boots 2.0

I love the Chelsea Boots in Natural CXL that i got from Blkbrd! They are so well made and fit like a glove. Looking forwarrd to many steps with them.

It's a comfortable and very well constructed boot. The main issue is the leather clicking. My left boot has about a 1 inch circular scar/loose grain that I am surprised made it through clicking and QC. It's very obvious and discolored. Normally I appreciate the variation and character in boot leather, but this looks like something that should have not been used.

I’ve never had hand made or made to measure shoes before but BLKBRD prices made it less of a gamble. My boots fit perfectly and after a couple of weeks are just breaking in nicely. They are very comfortable and look great. The CXL leather is unlike any leather I’ve seen before. Liquid shine, marks very easily, but with a bit of buffing with a horsehair brush the marks seem to disappear. And the leather seems to change colour as it warms up, going slightly darker. Will be interesting to see how they age. Some reviews bemoan the lack of response from BLKBRD and it’s true you won’t be getting regular updates from a responsive customer service team. But that’s because they’re busy making your shoes. I ordered my boots on the website, got an email/text/whatsap a week later asking for all the measurements and a month later another one saying my boots were on their way. Four days later they arrived. And I love them. Trying to decide which pair to get next!
