Bulwark, Trek Boot - Chromexcel Natural | Hand Welted

To begin with,I own 5 pair of boots all made by BLKBRD. 1 Pair of Dixon Captoe,1 Pair of LuchadorZ,1 Pair of Moctoe boot in bison leather,1 Pair of Specially customised Monkey Boots and the recent purchase is Bulwark Natural Chromexcel trek boot. As seen from the purchase history it is clear how much I love the brand. Apart from this the owner Mr Sandeep is a fantastic person who has a keen ear for customer requirements. Now coming to the recent purchase, bulwark natural Chromexcel is very well finished and with a leather insole it fits in perfectly. The shoe has a vibrant sole and a perfect grip for hiking, although I haven't used it in hiking but yes at my construction site I have put it to test and though it takes time to break in but yes once it is achieved everything is superb. The shoes might look heavy in pics but to my surprise it is a light weight boot not as heavy as a LuchadorZ or capto boot.. I wish them all the very best for future endeavours

This is my first time buying quality, hand welted shoes. I was blown away as soon as I took them out of the box. These shoes “look” expensive. I’ve never had people ask me about my shoes before.

It took a couple of wears to get comfortable. Initially everything was quite hard and didn’t have much give. But using them for a week softened them right up and they feel very comfortable now. 10/10 recommending this to anyone who asks.

Even though it's a trek shoe the combination of the leather type, it's color, design and quality of craftmanship make it look exceptionally elegant. Works seamlessly with formals or jeans. The leather is quite soft and flexible didn't have any issue from day one.

These are my first boots so I can't complain. I got to know from Stridewise and I was suprised there are companies in India that's known to make boots good enough (at the least) for many international boot enthusiasts either for work or fashion. This maybe a bit laughable but I actually bought these boots specifically to protect my ankles from bad sidewalks where I almost slipped many times in Mumbai. The shoes are very comfortable and gives a good grip. The leather needs to break in a bit which will take time. And I really love the leather. I've switched to leather laces since I never used like this.

I would really like to see if Blkbrd would be interested in making monkey boots. I see Sagara's cordmaster which looks to be a really nice piece. But if Blkbrd introduces its own monkey boots that's something to look forward to!

When I first ordered these boots I had high hopes and expectations based on the images and the well designed and and content rich website. When I received my new boots I was really happy to see that the quality was beyond what I imagined. The leather and other materials, the craftsmanship, the design, inside and out are absolutely beautifully done. The first wear was flawless for me, fit was perfect and the comfort is top level. I have a lot of boots and other footwear; these Bulwark boots are really something special that I really love wearing. I can’t wait for my next pair from BLKBRD, until then, these boots are one of my go to for any type of wear.
